Gower Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

If your student is a bus rider, you can find the bus route information on the MNPS Transportation webpage.

• Students can enter the building at 7:30 a.m. to eat breakfast. If students are not eating breakfast, they should stay in the care of their parents or guardians.

• Staff will let all students enter the building at 7:45 a.m. At this time, all car riders may enter the building.
• Once you enter the car circle, the cars will not move until given the direction of a staff member.
• There is a white stop line at both ends of the car circle. Students should not get out if you are past this line.
• Both lanes of the car circle are to be used. Please do not switch lanes.
• After 7:35 a.m., cars entering the circle must remain in the circle until staff moves the line.
• Please follow the directions of the Gower staff.
• Parents must stay in their car. If your student needs help to the door, we have staff members to assist. Do not walk your student to the door.
• Please do not park in staff parking (around the side/back of our building near the portables).

Dismissal

• We will not dismiss students from the porch. Parents should stay in their car until their student arrives or alert a staff member if help is needed.

• Please do not park in staff parking (around the side/back of our building near the portables).

• All students must be picked up by 3:20 p.m. from the car circle.
• Do not move your car until staff members give the go-ahead.

Important Notes

• Students are no longer allowed to walk to or from school.

• All transportation changes must be communicated to the front office by 12:30 p.m. daily. Please do not message teachers to change transportation.

Pre-K Students

• Parents should park in the Pre-K parking lot (inside the bus circle).

• Please do not block buses.

• Park quickly and walk your student all the way to the door. Please return to your car so others can use the parking spot.
